Very long menstrual cycles w/ only 1 week break!

My cycles have been starting a week earlier than my normal 28 days. They'll begin at 20-21 days. I begin spotting light pink or brown for almost 7 days, I'll have a few days of a normal moderate to some what heavy period then 3-4 more days of spotting. Amounting to almost 14 days of some type of spotting/bleeding. At this point I have roughly another 7 days before another spotting/bleeding cycle starts! I do not have painful periods, very little cramping and very infrequent clots. I am still breast feeding my 12 month old daughter. These periods have been consistently like this for 4 months now.

Has anyone experienced this? I can't believe this significant of irregularity is from nursing.
