pelvic adhesions/fertility

Posted by: jrw07 on Thu Jan 15, 2009
When i was 16 years old i went to the OB/GYN for severe abdominal pain. They never did anything except ultrasounds and never found any reason for my pain. When i was 18 years old i gave birth to my son, and then my daughter at 21. I was still having the constant pelvic pain and still my dr wouldnt do anything. Finally when i was around 24 years old, he decided on a laproscopy and found that i had pelvic adhesions and said that it shouldnt have been as easy for me to get pregnant with my kids as it was. I am no 28 years old and desperately want one last child. I know they will be spaced far apart, however, my concern is with my adhesions...will they limit my fertility chances? I have been having unprotected sex for about 4 years now...however, it wasnt necessarily when i was ovulating or because i was TTC. It was just very random times, and i never got pregnant. I have never had a miscarriage or anything. Last year i started having constant periods that never stopped for months and was put on BC. Now i worry that i may never be able to have another baby. What is everyones opinion? Has anyone ever been diagnosed with these and still been able to conceive? In a week i am going in to discuss with my dr about another laproscopy (btw, this is a different dr than the first surgery, as i wanted a second opinion). Any help is appreciated and please cross your fingers for me that i can conceive one day! Thank you!
