When Did You Decide Baby Names?

At what point did you select the name that you actually gave your baby? Before you were pregnant, during pregnancy, after delivery?

When Did You Decide Baby Names?

Have lots of girl names...but no boys!

My husband and I are currently 21 weeks pregnant, we have 2 girl's names, Emma or Brooklynn, ( i love them both), and for a boy we are lost! We have discussed the name Benjamin, but the more i hear it, I dont really want it.

We currently don't know what we are having but it is probably gonna be a boy b/c we cant decide on a name lol.

Any suggestions would be awesome, I know we still have 18 1/2 weeks to go before we meet the little baby but it would be nice to have some idea of what we may call a boy!

Thanks guys!

When Did You Decide Baby Names?

help me cope with the name my sister picked out.

So I have a sister that is pregnant and I really don't like the name she picked out. Her baby turns a year old on feb 4 (tomorrow) and her name is madison. well my sister is having another girl in may, and the name her and her husband have picked out is madilynn. I disagree with their decision because the names are so close to each other. any advice?

When Did You Decide Baby Names?

Out of time so taken out of our hands!

We did not name any of our three children til after we looked at them and held them. For the first two boys, we kinda had a "short list" but since we didn't find out the sex til delivery..it was extra special making sure the names "fit" the faces. Our third child, I was sure was son number three and was prepared with a boy's name. HA! Along came daddy's girl and much indecision. Finally when push came to shove and five days later when the hospital was ready for us to go home and there was still no name on the birth certificate, two shifts of nurses at the nurses station took a poll. They asked everyone that passed by that might have an opinion. I still have our sweet Emma Elizabeth's "tally sheet" in her baby box. Ironically, it worked out perfectly and fell in line with the family names we gave the two boys.

When Did You Decide Baby Names?

Christian and Leighton

My first son, Christian was named by my mother when I was still in jr high! haha. 10 years later, that name became a reality! :) My second, Leighton, was named in the 5th month of pregnancy and fits him oh so well. :)

When Did You Decide Baby Names?

Took us a while, but she had a name after delivery.

My husband and I did not find out the sex of our baby, so we made lists and lists and more lists while I was pregnant. We decided on a boy name right away and it took us a while to find a girl name. We really had not nailed it down though til SHE was born and we went wtih the 1 name we both agreed on. So pretty much in the delivery room we made a final decision about what to call her.

When Did You Decide Baby Names?

when did you decide baby names, my opinion

well for most part I'd hafta say b4 they were born. I would look at baby name all the time. Different ways, through books, internet, magazines, ect. Through my whole pregnancys. By the 7-8 month into it, I would have lots of ideas but b4 the child was born I'd have my decision made up.(for the most part) I think it's better to think about it & Have your opninons open. Remember you may change your mind to different names b4 you like the(ONE)the best. Good Luck and God Bless!!
