  • periods that come too close (closer than 21 days)
  • periods that come too far apart (more than 40 days)
  • periods that last longer than 8 days
  • bleeding in between periods
  • unscheduled bleeding
  • unusually heavy periods
  • unusually light periods
  • a significant change from your normal period

WHEN IS IT TIME TO SEE MY GYN?

  • for any of the above mentioned reasons (What is an irregular menstrual cycle?)
  • unusual pain with periods (dysmenorrhea)
  • a significant change from your normal period
