Conception Frustrations II?

If you're trying to conceive and it's taking longer than you had hoped, what frustrations are you running into? Is it that just about everyone around you seems to be pregnant? Or, something someone said? Or, is you-know-who (your mom, his mom...) pressuring you or asking when way too often? Does it sometimes feel like TTC is more like Trying to Cope?

How do you stay hopeful?

Husband and I have been trying for about 10 months, diagnosed w/PCOS about 7 months ago. Been on Metformin since then, and have had 3 cycles of Clomid (on day 14 of my 3rd Clomid cycle today) and so far no luck. Seems like every month when my period comes, it just kills me. I dont know how I can stay hopeful and positive, hopefully I can get some advice here. My husbands sister and aunt have both recently had babies, and everyone is ALWAYS asking us when its our turn. I have no friends who have been through this, and just feel really alone; isolated. Any insight on how I can stay sane would be much appreciated :)

So sad yet so hopeful

Well me and my wonderful husband have been trying for about a year and a half to conceive after the miscarriage of our daughter but to no avail. We have been to our doctor and I was recently diagnosed with PCOS.. and my doctor has started me on progessterone. But after the careful calculations and medication each test still reads a Negative. It about breaks my heart everytime.. im just so frustrated that so many of our friends and aquaintances are having these "accidental" pregnancies. And I see so many mothers with 4, 5, 6 kids with no means or support to care for them and I can't be blessed with just one?? Am i the only one who feels like this? please tell me im not

Laparoscopy on the 20th Sept Advice needed!

Need some advice been ttc for 2 years now, had a laparoscopy on the 20th of Sept which shows that I have a better than normal pelvic region (I am quoting the doctor here) husbands sperm is great and I am ovulating like clockwork. Haven't had my follow up appointment yet (It's a long story that involves a beautifully timed redundancy for me, basically I am away training for a new job when my app was booked for) Can anyone hazard a guess as to what the next step for us will be? I am in the UK so will be relying on the NHS which always slows things down somewhat. I am concerned that the Doc will just tell us to go away and try for another year as they all say that I am young and have plenty of time??!! I will be 32 in May which when all your friends are on 2 or even 3 babies doesn't feel so young. I was also due my period on the 29th of Sept and haven't had anything yet? Know this is probably normal but just wondering if anyone had any idea how long it takes to get back on track? Big long story sorry, thanks for reading xxx

Don't give up

Having read a few stories I thought you needed a bit of hope...My partners sister and her husband have been trying for a baby for 6 years with nothing but 11 miscarriages under their belt they were losing hope. Last month she gave birth to a beautiful healthy little girl. We sat and worked out that she concieved around the time her dad died last year and a baby was the last thing on her mind. I guess what i am trying to say is don't give up hope and it will happen when you are least expecting it. And have a bit of fun, don't put so much pressure on yourself. Good luck x x x

my storey

Having read a few views i though i would share my experience so people can see there is always someone worse off!! i have been trying for over 3 yrs. i went via the local NHS for various checks including tube viability op. i actually fell pregnant unbeknown to me and was around 8-10 weeks when the bleeding started and lasted for 8 wks- a miscarriage. i went to a follow up appointment at the fertility clinic and told them about the miscarriage and was told 'well you aren't infertile so we won't need to see you again'. i am now 40 and still not pregnant. add to that my husband has a contract of work where he is away every other month halving our chances. i am trying not to get obsessed but my body clock is ticking away. in the time i have been trying my brother's wife has had 2 kids - just to rub salt in the wound!

Sad to see another negative result

Hi, i am new to this site and i hope everyone doesn'nt mind me 'going on' a bit. Thing is no-one understands what i am going thro at the mo and everyone keeps saying 'relax' and 'stop obsessing so much about being pregnant' and 'at least you have 1 son, be happy with him' they havent a clue! all i want is a brother or sister for him!
I suffered an ectopic pregnancy in dec which resulted in me losing a tube, and then got pregnant straight away which ended in miscarriage unfort. I was so happy to be pregnant only to have it taken away again. Anyway have been trying for 7 months now and every month i get heart broken when i see that negative result ;-( will keep trying tho, its just so hard. Thanks all for listening and baby dust to all of u xx
