Conception Frustrations II?

If you're trying to conceive and it's taking longer than you had hoped, what frustrations are you running into? Is it that just about everyone around you seems to be pregnant? Or, something someone said? Or, is you-know-who (your mom, his mom...) pressuring you or asking when way too often? Does it sometimes feel like TTC is more like Trying to Cope?

Private IVF treatment

Hi,

Had NHS appointment to get put on IVF waiting list and we said we wanted to try privately as list will be a further 2 1/2 years. Just received letter for us to go to appointment mid July for consultation and says we must pay £3500 up front if we decide to go for it privately. Does anyone know how quickly the process woud start after the initial consultation. Was a bit taken aback that we would have to pay so quickly (Bit naive of me maybe) I am in Scotland any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

am i not ovulating???

I have been ttc for 9 months and still nothing yet.my cycle varies between 28 and 35 days. i started just tracking my cm and when i didnt get pregnant i started using the opk's and those turned out to be confusing because i start to get an lh surge and then it would be negative and then the same until a full positive. every month i always think im pregnant but i guess my period symptoms are the same as early pregnancy symptoms. no matter what i do i can't seem to get pregnant. i just bought some pre seed so hopefully that will help get the sperm in the right place if it is not already. my cervix is tilted so who know if they get up there at all. i feel like im never going to get pregnant!!!!!!

Clear blue fertility monitor..........any good?

We have been TTC for 3 and a half years and the Drs are finally doing fertility tests on us both. In order for us to stay positive about things, we have decided to invest in a new gadget, the clear blue fertility monitor, it is a little pricey, but having read a LOT of reviews we decided that having a baby far outweighs the cost of buying this monitor. It also seems to have us both quite excited about TTC again, as Iam sure many of you are aware, when you have been TTC for a while, the fun can sometimes go out of BDing.

I just wondered if any of you ladies on here have used this monitor and what you thought of it. I am in the 2ww at the moment, ready to start with the monitor from nxt cycle (hopefully I wont need it!!!) We have another 2 and a half months before our next fertility appointment. Hopefully we can go back with a BFP! Baby dust to everyone, stay positive!!!

Advice for a couple ttc with PCOS!!!!

My husband and I have been ttc now for a year. I've been off bc since last march (2010). Every month has been such a let down. My mother had no problems conceiving so I figured I'd have no problems either. Well, not so much... My husbands sister has had two unplanned pregnancies, all our other friends have had kids and it seems like every time we turn around (every month almost) one of our other friends is pregnant (even those who said they weren't trying or didn't want kids right now!!!) We are SO bummed. Anywho, long story short, we found out last week I have PCOS, which totally sucks. It is treatable with fertility drugs but it's still not 100%. My periods are irregular usually 35 day cycles total. I've taken conception tests and have only had one that turned positive so I don't even know if I ovulate at all!!

Does anyone have any advice, helpful hints, encouragement?

I need some opinions

So I've been ttc since September 2010, and still nothing yet. I went to my gynecologist, finally, and apparently everything is fine. She told me that I should track my period on something like this, and bd every day before I ov. She said to lay down for 5 minutes after that, and thats all it takes. And then she said it should happen within 6 months. So... I don't know but everything I've ever read always says it takes 1 year, and I'm not quite sure laying down for 5 minutes is all it takes, but what do I know, and I didn't tell her that I already track my periods on here. Anyways, I've decided I'm going to try Pre-Seed and the Instead softcups. I've read a few things before about using instead, both good and bad. I'm wondering if anyone has opinions on the Instead cups, or even the preseed? I really would like to hear if it worked for anyone, or if it didn't. Thanks in Advance.
