Conception Frustrations?

If you're trying to conceive and it's taking longer than you had hoped, what frustrations are you running into? Is it that just about everyone around you seems to be pregnant? Or, something someone said? Or, is you-know-who (your mom, his mom...) pressuring you or asking when way too often? Does it sometimes feel like TTC is more like Trying to Cope?

Conception Frustrations?

At a loss for words...

Hello,
I'm 24 perfectly healthy, a little overweight but not dangerously. My husband is 27 and healthy. We have not ever used protection. We've always been ready if it happens. We just bought our first home 6 months ago it's beautiful. We both have excellent jobs. We have planned everything. When we got the house we started officially "trying" . It has been heartwrenching for me every month to see my period. My obgyn said to give it another 6 months and then she will run some tests. Everytime my period comes I take a day to cry. My husband and I are so ready to start our family. I did not know it would be this hard on me every month. My husband wants a child as well but can't really relate to the issues I am having. I just wanted to share my story.

past the year mark

i stoped taking the pill in sept. of 2005 i can't say that we try every month but probally 10 months of the year and still nothing i have been traking everything and it all seems to be normal and i also went to the dr. in 05 and she said all was in tack. my sister inlaw didn't even have a boyfrind and married 3weeks before i did in sept.of 05 and her husband was gone alot for millitary and they already have a child that is about to turn 1 and she is very vocal about now trying for another although she just lost one a few months back. and me i can't even seem to get a late cycle. i am sick and tired of every one asking if i plan to have kids. i am not one to tell my friends or even family that i have been trying i just keep saying if it happends it happends. now i am a month away from turning 33 and if i can't do it by the time i'm 35 i don't know if i'll ever be able to keep up with a child. just started a new month for myself last sat. so i guess its time to hit the sac.again.

Frustrations

I agree with Jenny. I was in the supermarket today buying a new test when the checkout girl commented on my purchase. She then proceeded too tell me about her miscarriages and failed attempts. I think she was just trying to reassure me that there are others in the same boat but it didn't really put me at ease. We have not told our parents that we are trying for a baby because we know we will be asked constantly for updates. It's some thing that we want to keep to our selves for as long as possible. Hopefully we wont have to long to wait before we get some good news.

Tubal Reversal Surgery in Feb 07

I had my tubal procedure in Feb 95 and had the reversal in Feb 07. We have been actively trying since March to no avail. The doctor has told me that it could take up to a year. The up and down rollercoaster every month has been something to deal with especially seeing so many other woman pregnant. The further away I get from the surgery date, the better it is to deal with. The false symptoms are the most aggravating part of the whole ordeal. I just had a cycle on July 4th so I am entering into that stage of ovulation again. I am going to enjoy my husband and the process from this point forward. I believe it will happen in God's time. For all those going through this, keep your head up!

rants

I HATE waiting to test. I always test anyhow, even though I know it's too early and I get diaappointed. And why on earth do other women feel the need to tell you that they had miscarriages when you are pregnant? Do they honestly think that helps to set your mind at ease? I think not.
