TTC After M/C

Are you trying to conceive after one or more miscarriages? How long did you (or will you) wait until TTC again? Who or what has been helpful to you during your difficult time: faith, the support of your partner/friends/families (or did you find them unable to relate?), others who you now found out also m/c'd...

TTC After M/C

I miscarried in Feb 09 TTC this month

Hi, me and my husband found out we were pregnant back in January and were getting married in April! We are both in our mid 20's with no history of health problems. At 11 weeks I started bleeding lightly but my midwife said that can be normal which it is. However I didnt feel right and then after another week i was rushed to A&E with heavy bleeding and subsequently miscarried our first baby a day before our first scan so we never actually got to see him/her. The most devastating experience of my life, I felt so depressed and couldnt stop crying for weeks. Why is it when something like this happens you suddenly notice pregnant ladies everywhere!! Im really worried that its going to happen again, my husband says to stay positive but i find it so hard i keep thinking theres something wrong with me that caused it. My midwife recommended waiting 2 months before trying again and as my periods are back to normal we started trying again this month. Next week we'l find out if we've concieved. My family have been so supportive but because my best friend fell pregnant a month after me it has been tough talking to her as I didnt want her to be worried about her baby and I also felt quite jealous for a while and couldnt stop crying when she mentioned her scans etc. After four months now we are back on track but it has been really hard on all my relationships especially with my husband as I have not been myself since. You dont realise how much it can affect your life emotionally and physically. It has really helped talking about this on here. Thanks.

TTC After M/C

Back on the Horse...

I need feedback, but 1st...a brief history of me. I am relatively healthy given my circumstances. In the past 10 years, I have miscarried, had an ectopic, and miscarried again (in that order-spaced years apart). I'm 27 now. I've never purposely TTC, but now I am. I saw an ob/gyn who prescribed clomiphene. I'm done taking that and now I am on CD18. Not sure if it's time to ovulate, but i've been using the 20 day answer OPK. i have what could be described as "ovulation pain" or mittleschmerz *spellcheck*. Well, what do you think...is pregnancy possible? Oh, i forgot. I did the do with my husband just about everyday since AF left.

PG after 2 m/c's now scared

Ok so here is my story....
Been TTC since aug 2007. Fell pregnant in Feb 2008 but had a missed miscarraige at around 9 wks. Started seeing a fertility expert in oct 08 and was diagonsed with possible PCOS. Since m/c periods went to 6wk cycles, then had a scan that showed cycts on my ovaries, but blood work didnt match up. Was prescribed Metformin in march 09 and fell pregnant again 1st month. MIscarried at 5 weeks. Had a horrible experience at A&E where the doc told me to treat it as a late period, even though i had 4 BFP's. So that was in April (18th) using the calender on here i was supposed to ov on 14th May toook at ov kit which was positive. So by that i should have been due a period today. Took a preg test this am BFP !!! took one this Pm another brand BFP ! have no sympton though except really tired and some cramping. Last two pregnancies i knew i was pregnant and had really tender breasts. This time i just took a test just in case. cant beleive im pregnant..... my hubby says its good that i dont feel the same as before as they ended. dont know how to feel! Scared i will mis carry again. all the docs keep telling me is im young (25) but i dont care. just celbrated our 2nd anniversary and all we want is a baby, both my hubbys sisters have just had babies and all my freinds are PG or just had one too. My head is so mixed up with all emotins. any one with similar stories ?

TTC After M/C

Trying again after a 5 week miscarriage.

I am a mom of a 2 1/2 year old boy, Brayden. Last July we started to try for our second child, but after 5 months decided to take a break for the holidays. That happened to be the month that we conceived. So I guess it's true that when you are really trying, it doesn't always work your way.

In January of this year I started bleeding and talked to my OB lady. She told me it's fine as long as it doesn't get to a period like flow with clots. Well, it did. I woke up one morning and something just told me to go to the ER. I woke my husband up crying, told him what I thought was happening and took myself to the ER. They did an external and internal ultrasound and didn't find anything. My hcg level was only at 9 and I was 5 weeks. I was told I'm having a threatened miscarriage.

I went home and read up about it and thought my chances were good since 50% turn out to be just fine. My friend had one and delivered a baby. My other friend had one and she's about due. So I got my hopes up only to be disappointed when I had my follow up. My levels went down to 4, so they didn't need to do an ultrasound. I took it pretty good in the hospital and told them I didn't need any counseling. I was crying walking out of the hospital as I passed pregnant women and babies.

I waited for my body to go through two cycles to begin trying again. Now I'm irregular, so I'm checking my CM to see if I'm ovualting or not.

Focused Energy

In 2008 my husband and I had 3 m/c and a ectopic pregnancy. When they removed the e/p they also removed endometriosis and cysts on my ovary. We have taken all the tests and everything is fine, I am taking clomid and progesterone to create the best possible scenario. This has been the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, TTC again. In total since 2007 we have m/c 5 times. There is never a day that goes by that I don't think about being a mother. We have been TTC for 4 months now and so far no positive results. I now have another fear, of not getting pregnant... We keep positive and try not to stress...to much... I have taken all aspects that I can into control such as maintaining a healthy weight, eating properly, not drinking caffeine, low stress levels. This has helped me focus my energies onto something I can actually do and not perseverate on TTC.

Not giving up hope

I've had two miscarriages. My first miscarriage was a loss of twins at 11 weeks. Six months later, I lost another baby at 8 weeks. It was chromosonally normal so I have felt very confused and lost. We are trying to conceive again with a great deal of hope and trepidation. I've been reading the book "Coming to Term" about miscarriage and this book has given me so much information and a great deal of inspiration and hope for the future.
