TTC After Birth Control

Did you recently -- or some time ago -- come off birth control to TTC? What birth control were you using? Have your periods/cycles returned to your normal? Are you waiting a few months, or trying right away?

ttc discussion

I came off Birth control about 2 years ago... or more... I am starting the process of trying to get pregnant... we were trying off and on when i first came off... my cycles came on time but were very very short... now they aren't as long as before i had my first baby but arent as short as when i first came off... i was told that the fact they were getting longer was a good thing...

6 days late.....but THREE BFN's??? Advice, PLEASE!!!

I stopped the pill 4 months ago. My cycles were like clock-work for the first 3 of those months....29 days. THIS month I am on cycle day 36!!! I am 6 days late, although yesterday I had one small spot of bright red blood. I used a tampon for about 4 hours and it came out completely clean and nothing since. I am having sporadic cramping as well. This, of course, seems to be a sign of pregnancy, BUT I tested when I was 1 day late, 2 and then 3 days late and all BFN! But now 6 days late and just one tiny spot. What should I do???

Terrible cramps after stopping BC

I had been on BC for 10 years before my husband and I started TTC. I stopped the BC in July and have been having extremely bad cramps ever since. We were NT/NP during August, but we did try in September. During the last couple of months, I have been having terrible cramps. Cramps so bad that I am doubled over in pain. I had an appt. with my doc and when I told him he acted as if it was normal. I don't know maybe my body is adjusting to not being on the shot or pill (about 6 years on the shot and about 4 on the pill). But my periods are still 28 days long and not heavy at all. The periods are the same as before. Have anyone else cramped like this before?

Long Cycles after BC-Safe to Try?

Hi!! Went off NuvaRing 2 months ago. The doctors say the best thing about the NR is you can start TTC right away after stopping. But, I'm also having long cycles. I looked back at my charts with my first pregnancy (3 yrs ago) and even after being off BC for 6 months back then, I still had long cycles. So maybe its just me.
I average 34 days in length, and ovulate around day 20.
I'm wondering if I should still consider it safe to try.
