No Periods, Less Periods

Period suppression is currently a very hot topic. Will you (or do you already) take prescription meds to stop your period, or to have less periods a year? Why or why not?

No Periods, Less Periods

My period is so screwed up even on birth control!!!!!

I would definitely take meds to stop my period. My period is so screwed up even on birth control that I would have my period for 2 or 3 weeks straight bleeding everyday. I really don't think any women would like to deal with this. Is there actually a way to stop having periods?????

No Periods, Less Periods

Best year of my life.

I did it. I continuously took Marvelon birth control pill for about a year, and didn't have a period. Honestly, it was the best thing ever. Of course, in that year, I would take a break every 4 months or something, and get my period.

The tissue doesn't build up. When you're on the pill, and stop taking it, the period you get isn't a "real" period. It's bleeding because of the lack of hormones. Taking the pill continuously did absolutely no harm to my body. I stopped because I couldn't afford it, and taking the pill every single day was a huge pain.

No way, it is wrong

No I would not. It is not normal for a woman that is her prime for child bearing years to not have her period. It is unhealthy and unsafe for a woman to miss a period. Extra tissue builds up and the woman faces more weight gain problems. Besides not having your period is a natural way of telling your body something is not right, either you could be pregnant or there is a medical problem going on.

no periods!!!!

Yes I definately would because I hate having a period. I got it at a very young age, 10, and I feel like i've been having one my whole life. infact i don't remember life without a period...lol. my husband and I are TTC#2 but after that i am planning on taking the shot, seasonal, so aunt flo will come less often. my period just seems to come at the worst time every month, you know like the week off from work when your going to the beach!

No Periods, Less Periods

Not for me, but maybe for you.

No I would not. Because it seems unnatural to me and I do not have a medical reason or desire otherwise to suppress my period. However, I can understand how others may see it as a solution or a relief, when considering monthly symptoms and reactions.

No Periods, Less Periods

Barely any Period

No because I don't need to. My period is already screwed up. Ever since I was young i would only get period atleast 4-5 times a year. The only time I am regular is when I am on birth control and that sucks because what if I want to have more kids. i will probably need a little help getting there.
