Livingi with Endometriosis

I'm 27 years old and have had Endometriosis since I was 16yrs old. I was I had laproscopic surgery in 2004 to remove a lot of it. After that there was little change but mostly positive. The up side of things was that I was able to get pregnant fairly easily after "trying" (2007) and got pregnant 3 months after my daughter was born (Mar 08). So all the fear of thinking I couldn't get pregnant was put to rest. Unfortunately after having my son (Apr 09)my sypmtoms of heavy/painful periods and other associated symptoms did return. Living with Endometriosis is soooo different for everyone and it has challenges. For those who are questioning if they have it, be persistant about achieving a diagnosis! Most docs don't take it seriously even though your symptoms are awful to live with. For those who know they have it, watch out for those pain meds and anti-inflammatory drugs long term they will do damage to your stomach. For those of you trying to get pregnant, it's already a 1 in a gazillion chance for anyone trying to conceive, try not to stress to much. Remember to enjoy the process with your partner and If it's meant to happen it will. If God's timing is right. Be prepared and discuss other options with eachother in advance. When and if it happens be forever thankful, greatful, and enjoy every min of it. God Bless!

Very Painful Cycles Cure

I had very very painful cycles each month, after dealing with this for 8 years I set out to find something that i could take that would stop all of the pain and fainting, cold sweats and upset stomach and vomiting each month. I always saw how there were risk with birth control like heart disease and with that running in my family i didnt want to put myself at more of a risk. I looked for a natural way out and found WILD YAM ROOT, which can be bought online or in a health food store, its usually located in the womens health section. I read as much info as I could find on it and then I decided to try it. It is amazing, before i was taking 3 days off each month because of my period and my entire life was focused on me dreading that my period would be coming back even if it were a month away. I received the bottle in the mail the day before my cycle started but i decided to go ahead and start taking it. The next day AF showed and i actually noticed the difference that day. I had pain for about 2 hrs and then no more pain the entire 7 day cycle. Well i continued to take it as prescribed on the bottle and the next month, i didn't even notice my period had come, so now I have been taking this pill for 3 weeks before my cycle for almost 2 years now, it has definately changed my life. I usually take it for three weeks out of the month, and then stop taking it for one week, this saves on pills and I have actually gone a month without taking it and still didnt have a painful cycle. I believe it stays in the system for a while once you have been taking it regularly. I have now gone 4 months without taking it and this past cycle i noticed gave a little discomfort at some times but not nearly as bad as it was, so now i will be back on the WILD YAM ROOT as before, I hope this is helpful to someone who has the same problems I had during my monthly cycle.

Dealing with Endo and hoping to get Pregnant!!

I was told I had endo when I was 15 and put on birth control. When I turned 23 the symptoms and pain got much worse so they did surgery to officially diagnose me with endo and then they did surgery again to burn the endo and remove the scar tissue. I still have very painful periods and my doctors prescribed Tramacet for the pain. My husband and I have just started trying for a baby and so far have been unsuccessful sadly! It is heart breaking when you want a child so much it hurts and instead you get your period and pain. I'm willing to try anything that may help us conceive a baby that is safe of course and wonder if anybody has any hope or words of wisdom. Until it happens we will continue praying and hoping!

Endometriosis and trying to get pregnant

I have had Endometriosis since 8th grade. I am now 27 years old and trying to get pregnant. I had surgery and the doctor told me that the only way to get rid of it was to get pregnant. I have only heard bad things about trying to get pregnant from people who have it. We have been trying for a couple of months but no luck. I am getting very frustrated and have the fear of not having children. I keep spotting and I can not pin point my ovulation. I am trying to keep a positive out look but my doctor only gave me 4 months to get pregnant. My endometriosis is bad and I will have to go back on birth control. Does anyone have any positive words of wisdom or similar experiences?

PCOS & Diabetes

I have not had a period now in way over 100 days now. I was just diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2 and put on metformin 500 twice a day. I am also being tested for PCOS with blood work and also an internal ultra sound soon. I want a baby so bad. I am hoping this new treatment will help. Anyone else going thru this??

Need hope

I am 31 years old and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now. I have had endo since I was 15, 1stsurgery at 18-laparotomy (cut all the way across the stomach) and then about 4 laproscopy in my 20's eventually i was tired of the constant surgery every 6 months, i did every hormone therapy - lurpon stomach injections, danocrine, depo, birth control you name i did it. i stopped all treatment including birth control June 2007 and hoped to get my body back in balance and have a baby..so far no luck. I am going to try one more month-July and then see my ob in aug. and he will probably refer me to a fertility specialist. has anyone dealt with it this long and been successful getting pregnant if so what worked - NEED SOME HOPE PLEASE!!!
