I say no to Depo

I started with condoms and they worked for a while. I tried the shot 2 months ago but I will not get it again. Previously my periods were 3-4 days, light - medium. When I took the shot, I immediately didn't have a period. It was great until I had the mood swings, barely any sex drive, nausea, complete weight gain (and I workout and play soccer every week). Now I'm spotting for weeks. It's not that bad but I like my consistancy before I took the shot. Another friend had her period for 2 weeks straight! I do not recommend the Shot. Plus the idea of having to wait at least a year to get pregnant when I want to just doesn't feel too good. I'm thinking of trying the Nuva ring but not sure.

No more hormones!

I have been on the pill for a year now. I'm having trouble with weight gain, mood swings, and frequent yeast infections and vaginosis. I'm paranoid about the weight gain because of a past gastric bypass. Never want to be that big again! I'd love to try something else. Something without hormones! Sponge or diaphragm?

Getting an IUD was the best cycle relief

I noticed that once after I had my IUD (Intrauterine Uterine Device) inserted, My periods lightened up. Of course your body has to adjust to the new method of Birth Control, but there are no pills to remember to take, or shots to have to run and take, and your visits from Aunt flo, dont last as long.
DId I forget to mention NO WEIGHT GAIN.

The "Ring"

I am currently on the Nuva Ring, and I really like it. My boyfriend doesn't know that it's there, I don't have to worry about a pill everyday, and I feel no discomfort and can't feel it at all! I have tried pills and the patch, and none seemed like the right choice for me. The patch always feel off and that led to paranoia of a possible pregnancy, and I was soooo busy that I could never take my pill at the same time or forgot! So the ring definitely alleviates all of those cons. I haven't experienced anything out of the ordinary or what one would call a "con" yet with the Nuva Ring.
