My own choice

Personally I have never ever used birth control, I felt that I would wait until the right man came along, which I did. However looking at some women I know, having used birth control for long periods of time, they find it much more harder to get pregnant rather then an individual who has used it only when neccessary.

Depo, pill, and gel my experience

I have been on birth control most of my adult life. I have had many different type. Here are my views. Depo shot I hated and loved, I never got my period on it however one year of use and I gained 70lbs. I was on one type of the pill don't remember then name {and I should} and 9 months later my son was born. Ortho tri cylcen was the best for me it regulated my cycles and helped my skin. I have also used over the counter birth control like the gel. and to my amazement It worked and I have never gotten pregnant on it and there was no rea side effect.

God bless the creator of the Pill!

After two kids, a boy and a girl, I have decided not to have anymore children.

However, I feel that tubal ligation is far too permanent. I'd like to have control over the situation were I to decide later that I'd like to have more. I had never planned on being a mom to begin with, so that just shows that minds can change.

I use the pill. It's effective, easy to take, (pills are so small I don't even need to wash it down), and my fertility is totally under my control. I also love that it controls my menses! I have no cramps, lighter flow, and less PMS symptoms! To be honest with you, i dont' see why more women don't use the pill...all these benefits and virtually no side effects??

The only con I can think of is the fact that it's dealt with daily. But it's a small price to pay, I just take it first thing in the morning, when I wake up. It's the first thing I reach for after kicking off the alarm.

Birth Contol

I used an oral contraceptive, but I hated it as it made me sick and I had a low libido. So now I have been off oral contraceptives for several months, and feeling great! We use condoms when I ovulate for now, but we are ttc in August or September!.
