I'm Pregnant!

When you found out you were pregnant, how long did you wait until you told dad-to-be? How did you tell him and was he the first person you told? Did everyone react as you expected?

I'm Pregnant!

Positive test at 37 YO

First pregnancy, and happy. Just found out that I'm about 2 weeks. I'm 37 and just got off BCP after 16 years. Sixth month of trying. Had help with a fertility monitor.

I hope it goes well for me and my husband. We are happy, but want to keep it to ourselves for a few weeks. We know a couple that just miscarried at 5 weeks and don't want to go thru what they did if things don't work out.

Ladies over 35 and all coming off BCP: don't give up hope.

It took me 3 months to find out I was O'ing every 22 days. And the having intercourse every other day before O'ing and then every day while O'ing didn't work for us. Every day, twice a day did the trick for us. Never seen my husband smile that much before. :)

Definitely invest in the OPK's and if you can, a fertility monitor. I think it made all the difference. That and keeping the OPK's in a journal and dating them to look at how my cycle was trending.

Baby dust to all of you.

I'm Pregnant!

Less than ecstatic...

Has anyone had the experience when they tell their significant other they think they are pregnant, and the other person suggests an abortion because of financial costs and strain on the relationship? This happened to me. I still don't know how to feel. He was not happy. I feel devastated, I guess. We've been together for about a year and a half. Lived together almost that entire time. I have had one miscarraige already with him, about 9 months ago. I also thought that his religion didn't believe in abortions. Yes. Devastated describes this well. Any insights? Thank you.

I'm Pregnant!

9 dpo postive pregnant test!!

Well..did an HPT this morning and there was a extremely faint positive line. Thought my eyes were playing with me because I was hoping for a positive. So my friend bought me a nice digital..and vola! Pregnant flashed on the screen. Yay! This would be our 3rd..we lost our 1st one at 18wks due to a incompetent cervix. So when we got pregnant with our 2nd one, I had to do a cervical cerclage. And now he is a healthy 3yr old! We have been thinking about trying for a girl for the past year since I turned 30. And here we are!! Just going to pray until i have my necessary cerclage at 12wks. Not sure when I will tell the husband..maybe 2night?

I'm Pregnant!

POSITIVE with PCOS

My cycle is irregular (PCOS). Since I got off birth control, I have been testing every month just to be safe since I wouldn't be able to tell judging by my period. My "period" was very early and light and lasted 6 days. A week and a half later the light spotting happened again so I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! I am going to wait to tell my husband until I test again tomorrow morning, just in case.

We were not exactly TTC but we discussed that if an accidental pregnancy happened we would be more than thrilled. We were using the withdrawal method, and it DOES NOT WORK, lol!

PCOS runs in my family and my mom had twins and here am I getting pregnant quickly. If you have PCOS and you are TTC, don't give up hope. PCOS does not mean infertility!
