I'm Pregnant!

When you found out you were pregnant, how long did you wait until you told dad-to-be? How did you tell him and was he the first person you told? Did everyone react as you expected?

I'm Pregnant!

At last!

YAY! I just returned from the clinic, where the nurse assured me I had a definite BFP! The months leading up to this were very frustrating, and the week before today was EXTREMELY irritating, but it is all worth it now. Let me break down my last week for all those thinking their days are annoying:

--5/18: Clinic says "faint" line showed up after timer went off, so they count it as negative. Go home after wards, take test, negative.
--5/21: Morning AHPT is BFP. Two afternoon ones are very, very faint. Then I read online about early pregnancy loss, and freak out, and decide to take AHPTs each day to make sure my hormone levels aren't dropping. Boobs really hurt.
--5/22: Morning AHPT is BFP. Boobs hurt.
--5/23: Morning AHPT is BFP. Boobs hurt.
--5/24: At resource center, in afternoon, the test line is very faint, so volunteer (not a nurse) says its negative. I call 800 number of test and speak to a nurse who corrects the volunteer saying even faint lines are positives. Complete freak-out over the hormone level maybe falling.
--5/25: Boobs don't hurt as much, now cramping. Clinic confirms in afternoon that the test is absolutely positive! Sings me up for Medicaid, etc.

DUE: January 23, 2011!!!!!

Luck, blessings, hopes, love, peace to all TTC! :)

I'm Pregnant!

It's happening for me!

Just got a BFP!! DH dipped the stick so we found out together, although he was more surprised than me, I was pretty sure, just hadn't tested. AF was due sometime between Monday and Thursday. The only symptoms I've had are sore BBS which happen during PMS for me anyway and I feel dehydrated often which can lead to headache.
We've decided to wait until mid June to tell anyone and it's going to be SO hard! My sister is PG too, due one month before me, I can't wait to tell her. It will be good to wait though and then we can tell in person.
Two things I did this month that may have helped: I took Vitex tincture twice a day for the first 14 days of my cycle and we used preseed once (just a little, not the full application). We have been TTC for about six months but haven't been that serious about it. I started charting BBT 2 months ago out of curiosity and found out that I ovulate a little later, typically we BD'd a bunch around the CD12 and then ended up taking a break which was probably when I was actually ovulating! So this month we made sure to keep on doing it for a few days, I think I ovulated on CD17.
In the past I have been known to take a HPT on or before AF was due but I have really tried not to do that the past few months. This month I wasn't in such a rush to take it, I think I knew it would be BFP and I'm a little scared about the whole thing. Feel like I'm on a train going somewhere I've never been and there's no getting off! SO excited and happy though! Yay!
Good luck to everyone else TTC, I really hope the best for you all!!

I'm Pregnant!

Finally a BFP!

I finally got a + pregnancy test after 8 months of trying! I did a whole lot of different things this cycle which I am thinking may have helped. Either that or I just got lucky.

I began taking the following herbs - Don Quai, Red Raspberry Leaf Tea and Vitex. I also cut out caffeine after O and dtd in the morning and afternoon rather than in the evening. I read somewhere that sperm are in better condition in the morning than the evening. I also started over the counter progesterone cream after O because I had been spotting in my LP since TTC in Sept 09'.

I had distinct pinching pains on 7DPO and then on 10DPO symptoms started appearing. When I test on 13DPO the symptoms had intensified and I got a faint positive on an internet test strip.

1-5DPO headache, mild cramping and bloating
6-7DPO AF like cramping that was pretty intense, three pinching sensations in quick succession on 7DPO, bloating and gas.
8-9DPO bloating, gas
10DPO sensitive nipples, headache, bloating, gas, fatigue
11DPO-12DPO sensitive nipples, increase breast size (slight), fatigue (yawning all day), hungry, headache on and off, slight nausea when hungry, thirsty, dizzy spells
13DPO BFP! Husband saw the line get darker. Same symptoms with some anxiety because I got pg!
14-16DPO same symptoms as before but had spotting on 14DPO (day AF should have arrived) and boobs are getting bigger and sorer and am very hungry with dizzy spells and night sweats.
